Info:Die am 10.1.1921 in Reims gegründete Gesellschaft ersteigerte im gleichen Jahr die berühmte Champagner-Firma G. H. Mumm & Co., ebenfalls in Reims ansässig. Als Deutschland Frankreich 1914 den Krieg erklärte, war Georges Hermann von Mumm, der Firmeninhaber, noch deutscher Staatsbürger. Dies wurde ihm zum Verhängnis. Er wurde zusammen mit anderen Deutschen in Reims verhaftet, das Haus G. H. Mumm & Co. als Ganzes konfisziert. 1921 wurde das Haus mitsamt seiner Marken versteigert. Den Zuschlag erhielt eine Gruppe namens Cie. Vinicole Champenoise, dessen Vorstand Georges Robinet Mumm als Leiter ernannte. 1946 wurde der Name des Hauses auf G.H. Mumm & Cie. Soc. Vinicole de Champagne, Successeurs, umbenannt. 1955 stieg der kanadische Konzern Seagram Distillers Corp. mit einem Aktienkauf in das Unternehmen ein. 1999 kaufte der amerikanische Konzern Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst das Haus G. H. Mumm & Cie. auf. Heute gehörte Mumm zum britischen Konzern Allied Domecq.
