Of course, the oldest German share of the Priviligierte Asiatische Company of Embden for trade to Canton in China from 1752 (lot 760) was outstanding. This lot was called for 50,000 Euro and after a tough bidding war between book, telephone bidder and room bidder, it was sold for 72,000 Euro. A new record for a german security and also a new record for our auction house...
