Sektion Appenzell-Wasserauen, das als erstes Teilstück der Säntisbahn gedacht war. Von Wasserauen bis zum Seealpsee war eine Zahnradbahn, von dort bis zum Säntisgipfel (2501 Meter) eine Seilbahn mit drei Sektionen geplant. Während des 2. Weltkrieges wurde das Projekt stillgelegt und später auch nicht wieder aufgegriffen, da eine Luftseilbahn Schwägalp-Säntis gebaut wurde. Die Bahn wurde in Elektrische Bahn Appenzell-Weissbad-Wasserauen AWW umbenannt und 1948 in die Appenzeller Bahn eingegliedert. | | Availability: | Kpl.
