Das bekannteste Schiff der Reederei war die TITANIC, die in der Nacht zum 15.4.1912 bei ihrer Jungfernfahrt südlich der Großen Neufundlandbank mit einem Eisberg kollidierte und unterging. Bei dem Schiffsunglück kamen 1517 Menschen ums Leben, u.a. bekannte Persönlichkeiten wie Jakob Astor und Benjamin Guggenheim. Die durch dieses Unglück stark geschwächte Reederei wurde 1927 für 7 Mio. £ von Lord Kylsand erworben und 1934 dann von "The Cunard Steam-Ship Co." übernommen. | | Specials: | Kapital 9 Mio. £.
