Dieser ca. 140-160 Mio. Jahre alte gelbe oder graue Jurakalkstein tritt dort in Mächtigkeiten von 50 m auf. Neben ihrem Steinbruch besaß die AG ein Sägewerk zur Herstellung von Rohblöcken, Rohplatten und Denkmälern und entsprechende Werkstätten.
