Auf der 81 Meilen langen Bahn von Geddes nach Binghamton, Pa. wurde Kohle aus Tagebauen in Pennsylvania zur Salzindustrie nach Syracuse transportiert. 1856 fusioniert mit der Syracuse & Southern RR, 1857 als „Syracuse, Binghamton & New York RR“ reorganisiert. Die Bahn stellte den Anschluß an die frühere „Oswego & Syracuse RR“ dar.
