Sie war in Betrieb von 1873 bis 1893. Vorher war sie bekannt als Boston, Hartford and Erie RR, die aus verschiedenen kleineren Bahnen geformt wurde, deren Gründungsdaten bis 1846 zurückreichen. Nach einem Bankrott im Jahr 1893 wurde die NY&NE RR reorganisiert und als New England RR weitergeführt. Heutzutage sind die Schienen der NY&NE RR überwiegend abgerissen, nur ein kleiner Teil in Massachusetts existiert noch, auf dem die MBTA‘s Franklin Line (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) einen Pendler-Service unterhält. | | Specials: | Schwarz/weißer Druck.
