Die Gesellschaft wurde bald zum größten Industriebetrieb des Landes. 1890 wurde die Gesellschaft zu Nya AB Atlas unter der Leitung von Marcus Wallenberg reorganisiert, der 1898 die schwedischen Produktionsrechte für Dieselmotoren erwirbt und die AB Diesel Motorer gründet. 1917 wird die Produktion von Dampflokomotiven eingestellt und die Nya AB Atlas mit der AB Diesel Motorer fusioniert, 1956 umbenannt zu Atlas Copco (Akronym “Copco” steht für Compagnie Pneumatique Commerciale). Eine der weltweit bedeutendsten Firmen im Bereich Produktion von Kompressoren und Pneumatikwerkzeugen. 1992 Übernahme der AEG Elektrowerkzeuge, 1995 der Milwaukee Electric Tools. Die deutsche Tochter firmiert unter Atlas Copco Deutschland GmbH mit Sitz in Essen. | | Specials: | Zweifache Wallenberg-Signatur (Faksimile).
