place: | New York | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 32 | | Info: | Gegründet zum Bau einer 23 Meilen langen Bahn am Westufer des Lake Champlain von der aufstrebenden Industriestadt Plattsburgh, N.Y. hinauf zur kanadischen Grenze und dann weiter zum Hafen von Montreal. 1871 wurde die Bahn an die Rutland RR verpachtet, die ihrerseits gerade erst drei Wochen zuvor an die Vermont Central RR verpachtet worden war. 1873 neuer Pachtvertrag mit der Delaware & Hudson, die die Bahn bis weit in‘s 20 Jh. hinein betrieb.
