Dass der Regenwald westlich von Portland, Ore. dabei weitgehend vernichtet wurde, interessierte damals niemanden. Davon suchte auch der familiengeführte Blazier-Forstkonzern zu profitieren, der sich mit einer Gemeinschaftsanleihe dreier Konzernfirmen finanzierte.
