Ihre Fracht nach Detroit wurde in Toledo von der Michigan Central übernommen und weiterbefördert. Ein Vertrag von 1901 fixierte diese schon lange vorher getroffene Absprache. Erst 1917 entschloß sich die PRR, eigene Gleise nach Detroit zu legen. 1922 ging die neue Strecke in Betrieb.
