Die 29 Meilen lange Strecke Whitings-Tuckerton, N.J. ging 1871 in Betrieb. 1880 insolvent und und unter gleichem Namen reorganisiert. Ab 1909 auch Betriebsführung auf der 12 Meilen langen Strecke Manahawken-Beach Haven der Philadelphia & Beach Haven RR. Obwohl die kleine Bahn überhaupt nur 7 Waggons besaß, die von 3 Lokomotiven bewegt wurden, bewahrte sie jahrzehntelang ihre Unabhängigkeit (Aktionäre waren lokale Geschäftsleute und Farmer) und wurde erst 1936 stillgelegt.
