Die Initiative ging von Klement aus, der sich über den Herstellers seines Fahrrades, die Dresdner Firma Seidel & Naumann, geärgert hatte. Es wurden Fahrräder (unter der Marke Slavia), Motorräder und Automobile hergestellt. 1907 in eine AG umgewandelt, 1912 wurde die Reichenberger Automobil Fabrik übernommen und bald war L&K der größte Automobilhersteller Österreich-Ungarns. Am 27.
