Die 27 Meilen lange Stammbahn Elkton-Bridgewater, Va. wurde 1896 eröffnet und 1901 Richtung Westen bis Stokesville, Va. am Fuß der Allegheny Mountains verlängert. Anschlüsse bestanden in Elkton an die Norfolk & Western und in Harrisonburg, Va. an die Southern Ry. Weitere über 300 Meilen Strecke waren, von der Chesapeake Bay ausgehend, bei Ausgabe dieser Aktie im Bau. 1938/1954 zunächst indirekt, dann direkt von der heutigen Norfolk Southern übernommen worden. Eine noch heute in Virginia aktive Tochterges. der Norfolk Southern mit den drei Strecken Elkton-Dayton, Harrisonburg-Pleasant Valley und Harrisonburg-Bowman (letztere war 1942 der Baltimore & Ohio abgekauft worden). | | Specials: | Ausgestellt auf die Old Dominion Construction Co.
