Den Firmennamen muß man wirklich in Einzelteilen erklären: Milledgeville, eine 1804 auf dem Reißbrett entstandene Stadt mit heute rd. 18.000 Einwohnern, genau in der Mitte des Staates Georgia gelegen, war 1804-68 sogar dessen Hauptstadt, ehe sie diese Rolle an Atlanta abtreten musste. Das Asylum, das staatliche Irrenhaus in Milledgeville, Georgia (heute das Central State Hospital) war und ist die größte staatliche Einrichtung zur Behandlung psychisch Kranker. Mit Dummy (oder steam dummy) wird ein spezieller Typ von Straßenbahnwagen bezeichnet, wie er auch auf dieser Strecke eingesetzt war.
