place: | Darmstadt | | Picture: |  | | Info: | Gründung 1881 als Eisengießerei und Waagenfabrik durch Carl Schenck (1835-1910, der zuvor in Mannheim seit 1863 die Mannheimer Maschinenfabrik Schenck, Mohr und Elsässer geleitet hatte, die spätere Fa. Mohr & Federhaff, wo u.a. der spätere Autopionier Carl Benz als technischer Angestellter arbeitete). Seit 1902 wurde außerdem Fördertechnik hergestellt und seit 1907 Auswuchtmaschinen. 1974 in eine AG umgewandelt, anschließend mit VZ-Aktien an die Börse gegangen. Hergestellt wurden nun Maschinen und Anlagen für Wäge- und Dosiertechnik, Fördertechnik, Prüftechnik für die Automobilindustrie, Auswucht- und Diagnosetechnik. 2000 Übernahme durch die Dürr AG, Stuttgart, 2004 squeeze-out der Kleinaktionäre und Verkauf der traditionellen Mess- und Wiegetechnik an einen Finanzinvestor.
