Gegründet 1901 in West Norwood südlich von London als Auto Carriers Ltd., die dreirädrige Personenwagen und leichte Nutzfahrzeuge baute. Ab 1922 als AC auftretend, Firmensitz war nun das unmittelbar an Groß-London angrenzende Thames Ditton am Südufer der Themse. Bekanntestes Modell wurde in den 1950er Jahren der offene Sportwagen AC Ace und in den 1960ern der mit Unterstützung von Ford gebaute AC Cobra. In den 1970er Jahren verschwand die Firma, doch seit 2020 werden von der AC Cars (England) Ltd. der AC Ace und der AC Cobra wieder hergestellt, wobei man sich für Verbrennungsmotoren erneut im Ford-Regal bedient, es gibt aber heute auch eine elektrische Variante. | | Availability: | Hochinteressantes Stück, bei uns noch nie angeboten gewesen. | | Condition: | VF. | | Sold: | 100,00 EUR |
