Der erste Métallurgique, 1898 gebaut, war ein Motorwagen nach Daimler-Vorbild, den es bis 1904 gab. Die Berliner Bergmann Elektrizitätswerke übernahm 1909 eine Métallurgique-Lizenz und verkauften diese Fahrzeuge als Bergamann-Métallurgique mit großem Erfolg. Konstrukteure wie Ernst Lehmann, Paul Henze und Paul Bastien arbeiteten für Métallurgique. 1927 wurde die Firma von Imperia übernommen, die später ihrerseits von Minerva aufgekauft wurde.
