Das Gas liefert die Firma Noblee & Co. aus dem neuen Gaswerk Buxtehude. 1889 kauft die Stadt das Gaswerk samt Rohrnetz. 1900 wird die Gasgewinnung umgestellt vonTeer-Destillation auf Kohle. 1914 wird das neue Wasserwerk, das Grundwasser aus12 bis 29 Metern Tiefe liefert, eingeweiht. 1919 wird die Hochspannungsleitung zum Anschluss Buxtehudes an das Stromversorgungsnetz der Überlandwerke Nordhannover gebaut. 1920 werden die drei Sparten Gas, Wasser und Strom unter der Bezeichnung Licht- und Wasserwerke zusammengefasst. 1937 wird das städtische Versorgungsunternehmen in Stadtwerke Buxtehude umbenannt. | | Availability: | Einzelstück aus alter Sammlung.
