Die Cotta'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung war ein 1659 in Tübingen gegründeter Verlag, der sich bis 1889 im Besitz der Verlegerfamilie Cotta und danach bis 1956 im Besitz der Verlegerfamilie Kröner befand. 1730 erhielt Johann Georg III. Cotta vom Herzog von Württemberg das Privileg für die Hof- und Kanzleibuchdruckerei, In den Jahren von 1806 bis 1867 hatte der Verlag als einziger das Recht, Werke von Friedrich Schiller und Johann Wolfgang von Goethe zu veröffentlichen. 1921 Umfirmierung in "Cotta-Haus AG", danach Verwaltung der Liegenschaften Königstr. 42 und Lindenstr. 2. | | Availability: | Oberer Rand mit kleinen Fehlstellen.
