Short (auch im Faksimile auf der Aktie) arbeitete das Unternehmen Tür an Tür mit Lockheed. Die Aufgabe bestand darin, ein Reiseflugzeug modernster Bauart zu konstruieren. Im Verlaufe des Jahres 1938 änderte die Firma ihren Namen in Vega Airplane Company. Lockheed übernahm kurze Zeit später die Mehrheitsanteile an Vega. Unter eigenem Namen existierte Vega noch einige Jahre weiter, als Tochtergesellschaft Lockheeds war Vega für einige sehr bekannte Entwicklungen bekannt, z.B. die Neptune und die Harpoon. 1941 wurde das Unternehmen in Vega Aircraft Corp. umbenannt und schließlich im November 1943 von Lockheed gänzlich übernommen. | | Specials: | Tolle Vignette mit Erdkugeln, Hermes und einer Vega. | | Condition: | EF. | | Sold: | 300,00 EUR |
