Das in Holon inclusive der kompletten Infrastruktur geschaffene für die Zeit ausgesprochen moderne Viertel gehörte zu den fünf bei Gründung der Stadt entstandenen Vierteln und heißt bis heute Agrobank-Viertel. Die zionistische Besiedlung der Region Holon begann 1935, 1936 verlegte Arie Shenkar seine Textilfabrik von Lodz nach Holon und sorgte damit für Arbeit für die Neusiedler.
