place: | Wien | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 738 | | Info: | Grundlage der zionistischen Kolonisation Palästinas ist das Basler Programm der Welt Zionistenorganisation (WZO) von 1897, in dem beschlossen wurde, einen jüdischen Staat in Palästina zu gründen. 1907 wurde das Palästina-Amt der WZO in Jaffa eingerichtet, eine Organisation, die die Auswanderung der jüdischen Bevölkerung nach Palästina durchführte. Arthur Ruppin leitete die Organisation. Das Palästina-Amt kümmerte sich um die nötigen Visa und der Transport der Emigranten. Allein bis 1914 waren bereits 85.000 jüdische Einwanderer in Palästina zu verzeichnen. | | Specials: | Zweisprachig deutsch/hebräisch.
