Die Berliner Handels-Gesellschaft pflegte unter Leitung des legendären Carl Fürstenberg von Anfang an besonders das Investment-Bankgeschäft, die Frankfurter Bank reüssierte zunächst als lokale Privatnotenbank. 1970 fusionierten beide Institute zur BHF-Bank, das war bis dahin der größte Bankenzusammenschluß der deutschen Nachkriegsgeschichte. 1998/99 Übernahme durch die niederländische ING-Gruppe. 2005 Übernahme durch Sal. Oppenheim und Weiterführung als "BHF-Bank - Privat seit 1854". Seit Sal. Oppenheim 2010 von der Deutschen Bank aufgefangen wurde sucht der neue Eigentümer für die BHF-Bank schon wieder einen Käufer. | | Availability: | Entwertet.
