Das erste 143 Meilen lange Stück bis Brownwood ging 1891 in Betrieb, später um 53 Meilen nach Brady verlängert. Außerdem wurde in Fort Worth die Ringeisenbahn zur Verbindung mit der Missouri, Kansas & Texas Ry. betrieben.
