Es wurde bereits 1850 als Folies-Marigny gegründet. Jacques Offenbach leitete es von 1855 bis 1858 und nannte es Bouffes-Parisiens (Sommer-Theater). Um 1893 wurde das Theater umgebaut und als Café-Concert benutzt. Ab 1894 wurde das Haus von dem bekannten Architekten Edward Niermans neu gestaltet. 1925 kaufte es Léon Volterra und machte daraus das Theater Marigny. Er führte Revuen von Sacha Guitry und Saint-Granier auf. Nach dem Krieg übernahm Simone Volterra die Leitung des Hauses. 1965 Neueröffnung unter der Direktion von E.
