In den Folgejahren starke Expansion mit Eröffnung von Filialen in Braunschweig, Kassel und Magdeburg. Sogar Radiogeräte stellte man her. Zu Beginn der Weltwirtschaftskrise übernahm Eduard Bergmann die Firma, der er 1931 eine Abteilung für Sanitärbedarf hinzufügte. Die AG selbst wurde 1930 zahlungsunfähig. Bergmann führte die Firma als Hermann Albert Bumke Elektrizitäts-Ges.mbH in Hannover fort.
