Sie war das Ergebnis der Fusion der erst kurz zuvor gegründeten Olean RR, Friendship RR und der „alten“ Allegany Central. 1882 eine weitere Fusion mit der Lackawanna & Pittsburgh RR (42 Meilen vom Genesee Vally Canal bei Rockville nach Perkinsville). 1889 in der Lackawanna & Southwestern aufgegangen. Die ging schon 1890 pleite und wurde als Central New York & Western RR reorganisiert.
