Mit Personen- und Güterverkehr sowie Hoch- und Untergrundbahnen war sie einzigartig unter den drei Nahverkehrsbetrieben von New York. 1919 nach zu stürmischer Expansion pleite gegangen, 1923 reorganisiert als Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit Corp.
