Da die Porzellanfabrik Fraureuth AG zu dieser Zeit eine der größten Porzellanfabriken Deutschlands war, fungierte sie als starker Mäzen. Der Verein verfügte über eine eigene Sportanlage, die damals als eine der modernsten in der Region galt.
