Bald kamen weitere Sportarten wie Tennis und Leichtathletik hinzu. In der DDR reformierte sich 1946 die Fußballabteilung und fusionierte mit der Turnabteilung zur "Freien Sportgemeinschaft Gehren", später integriert in das staatliche Sportsystem. Heute als Sportverein Gehren 1911 e.V. der größte lokale Sportverein mit einem breiten Spektrum: Fußball, Frauen-Turnen, Aerobic-Line, Volleyball, Badminton, Schach, Reha-Sport und Musikensembles. | | Specials: | Ausgegeben zum Kauf des Sportplatzes.
