Ursprünglich lief die Strecke parallel zum Genesee Valley Canal. 1881 reorganisiert als Rochester, New-York & Pennsylvania RR, die auf der vorhandenen Trasse die Bahn ganz neu baute. Anschließend verpachtet an den Alleinaktionär Buffalo, New York & Philadelphia Ry. und damit schlußendlich Teil der Pennsylvania RR geworden.
