Es produzierte und vertrieb bald eigene Sportgeräte, insbesondere Skier, Speere, Diskusse, Laufschuhe und Spikes. 1920 wurde die bekannte Marke Karhu eingeführt. Bei den Olympischen Spielen 1920 in Antwerpen und 1924 in Paris errangen finnische Athleten mit Karhu-Produkten zahlreiche Medaillen. Bekannt ist der Verkauf des "Drei-Streifen"-Markenzeichens an Adidas im Jahr 1952 (für eine geringe Summe plus zwei Flaschen Whiskey).
