Die vereinigte Gesellschaft besaß nun 15 riesige Fabriken für Rauchtabak, Feinschnitt, Zigaretten und Zigarren in New York, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee und Ohio. Ihre Marktmacht war so groß, daß der U.S. Supreme Court 1911 die Zerschlagung des Unternehmens aufgrund des Sherman Anti-Trust Law von 1890 anordnete. Ein Teil der Aktivitäten wurde daraufhin der neugegründeten Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. bzw. der P.
