Schuckert & Co. in Nürnberg. Schnell übernahm die Gesellschaft eine führende Rolle in der Stromversorgung Südwestdeutschlands und des Rheinlandes. 1917 Umfirmierung in "Rheinische Elektrizitäts-AG". In Berlin, Frankfurt und Mannheim börsennotiert. 1940 wurde das jahrzehntelang wichtigste Aktivum erworben: die Schnellpressenfabrik AG Heidelberg (heute Heidelberger Druckmaschinen).
