Tochtergesellschaft der von dem genialen Erfinder und tüchtigen Unternehmer Charles Francis Brush 1880 gegründeten Anglo-American Brush Electric Light Corp. Charles F. Brush (1849-1929) war neben Thomas A. Edison der Vorreiter bei der Entwicklung technischer Beleuchtungssysteme und Marktführer bei Bogenlampen und Generatoren, Erfinder u.a. von Windmühlen zur Erzeugung von elektrischem Strom, von Bleielektroden usw. Entscheidend für die Verbreitung elektrischen Lichts war die Erkenntnis, daß Dynamomaschine, Lampen und Regelungen ein Ganzes, ein System bildeten. Bereits 1880 wurden von Charles F. Brush Broadway und kurz danach die Bahnhöfe von New York mit Bogenlichtanlagen ausgestattet. 1889 wurde die Brush Electric Co. von der Thomson-Houston Co. aufgekauft und 1892 mit Edison Electric Co. zu General Electric Co. fusioniert. | | Specials: | Originalsignaturen. | | Availability: | Äußerst selten. | | Condition: | Rechte obere Ecke umgeknickt und verfärbt durch Lichteinwirkung, sonst tadellos.
