Ab 1936 konnte die chilenische äußere Schuld dank der Einnahmen der Chilenischen Salpeter- und Jodverkaufsgesellschaft bedient werden, allerdings mit nur 0,475 %. Im Jahr 1937 betrug der Satz 0,605 %.
