Der kleine Betrieb (mit ca. 50 Mitarbeitern wurden knapp 40.000 hl jährlich gebraut) war mit oft zweistelligen Dividenden hochrentabel. 1953 verstaatlicht und als “VEB Mittweidaer Löwenbräu” fortgeführt, 1968 Anschluß an das Getränkekombinat Karl-Marx-Stadt.
