Morse starb 1903 und New York Ship wurde verkauft an “American International Corp.” und W.R. Grace im Jahr 1916. Der Schiffbau expandierte während des 1. Weltkrieges, die Gesellschaft war 1919 die größte Werft in der Welt. Aber in den Nachkriegsjahren kämpfte sie ums Überleben, wurde dann 1925 erneut verkauft an die US-Tochtergesellschaft der Schweizer Brown Boveri. Die American Brown Boveri Electric Corp. wurde gegründet. Später dann umbenannt in New York Shipbuilding Corp. | | Specials: | Musterstück der ABNC.
