(White Star Line, unter deren Flagge auch die Titanic fuhr), an die englische Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. für eine beachtliche Summe zu verkaufen. Diese ging dann bald in Liquidation und kam den Zahlungsverpflichtungen nicht mehr nach.
