Während der Französischen Revolution wurde der Pflanzengarten 1790 vom Staat übernommen und 1794 dem Musée d’Histoire Naturelle unterstellt. Durch die Aufnahme exotischer Tiere der einstigen Versailler Menagerie entstand ein Tierpark. 1854 initiierten Pariser Bürger die Gründung einer Zoologischen Gesellschaft nach englischem Vorbild mit dem Ziel der Domestizierung fremdländischer Tiere. Die Gesellschaft konstituierte sich am 1.4.1859 mit einem Kapital von 1 Mio. Francs. Der Jardin d’Acclimatation wurde im Bois de Boulogne mit einer Größe von 22,5 ha errichtet und im Okt. 1860 eröffnet. | | Condition: | Anh. Kupons. EF-VF. | | Sold: | 120,00 EUR |
