Bis 1894 verdiente er bereits 70.000$ netto. Später verkaufte McKinnie die Mine an die Portland Gold Mining Co., eine der erfolgreichsten Goldminenges. im Cripple Creek-Distrikt. | | Specials: | Original signiert von Frank G. Peck als Sekretär. Peck (1862-1926) war ursprünglich Besitzer eines Zigarrengeschäfts, bis er James Renwick McKinnie kenne gelernt hat und zum Mitbesitzer seiner Black Diamond Gold Mine wurde. Zusammen mit McKinnie gab er seine Anteile an der Mine an die Portland GMC., allerdings nur im Tausch gegen die Portland GMC-Aktien, was ihn bald zum Millionär machte. Im Jahre 1910 wurde er zum Präsidenten der Portland Gold Mining Co. und behielt diesen Posten bis zum seinen Tode. Die hier angebotene Aktie stammt laut dem anh. Stub aus Übertragung der Anteile von J.R. McKinnie. | | Availability: | Hand signed by Frank G. Peck as Secretary. Frank G. Peck (1862-1926) was a Colorado Springs cigar store owner. He owned the Black Dimaond Gold Mining Co. with James Renwick McKinnie, and he gave it to the Portland GMC in exchange for stock. Peck took control of the Portland GMC away from Frank Burns and becam president of the company in 1910 and remained so until his death. The Portland GMC was the largest and richest of all of the Cripple Creek mines, and was known as the Qeen of Cripple Creek. This certificate was transferred from J.R.
