Dem Direktorium der Gesellschaft gehörte der Woods-Clan an, der Dynastiegründer Warren Woods und seine beiden Söhne Frank M. und Harry E. Woods. Das wichtigste Besitz der Gesellschaft war die Mollie Kathleen-Grube, die später von dem Verner Z. Reed Estate gekauft wurde. | | Specials: | Grosse, sehr dekorative Vignette mit Goldgräbersiedlung bei Robinson, Summit County, Colorado. Original signiert von Frank G. Peck als Präsident und von F.M. Woods als Sekretär. Frank G. Peck (1862-1926) war ursprünglich Besitzer eines Zigarrengeschäfts, bis er James Renwick McKinnie kennen gelernt hat und zum Mitbesitzer seiner Black Diamond Gold Mine wurde. Zusammen mit McKinnie gab er seine Anteile an der Mine an die Portland GMC., allerdings nur im Tausch gegen die Portland GMC-Aktien, was ihn bald zum Millionär machte. Im Jahre 1910 wurde er zum Präsidenten der Portland Gold Mining Co. und behielt diesen Posten bis zum seinen Tode. Zwei Knickfalten, sonst tadellos. Extrem selten. | | Availability: | Unique Vignette of mining properties near Robinson, Summit County, Colorado. Hand signed by Frank G. Peck as President and by F.M. Woods as secretary. The Woods family were infamous Cripple Creek promotores, building a fortune and losing everything. After the collapse of the Woods empire 1910, Frank M. Woods made every attempt at a financial comeback, but great success eluded him. One of his post-Cripple Creek ventures was the United Petroleum Company (1912). When hi died in Los Angeles in 132, his friends had to take up a collection to pay for his burial. Later, the Verner Z. Reed Estate purchased the Mollie Kathleen property.
