Zur selben Zeit gab es schon die Firma Whitworth in Birmingham, die Eisenwaren, u.a. Schrauben herstellte. 1894 kamen beide Firmen zusammen und bezogen ihr neues Quartier in der Crow Lane in Coventry. Zunächst baute man noch Fahrräder, bevor 1910 das erste Rudge-Motorrad konstruiert wurde.
