Siitola, heute Stadtteil von Imatra (Partnerstadt Salzgitters), an der finnischen Südostgrenze zu Russland gelegen, war ein Lieblingskurort der russischen Kaiserin Katharina II. Das Vorhaben der Elektrizitätsgesellschaft “Siitola AB” wurde indessen nicht realisiert.
