Danach begann sie die Bahn westwärts Richtung Mangum im Oklahoma Territory zu verlängern. 7 Meilen westlich vpn Mountain View wurde eine kleine Haltestelle eingerichtet. Kein Mensch weiß, warum man sie Gotebo nannte. Ab 1901 begann nahe dem Haltepunkt eine kleine Siedlung zu wachsen, die zunächst nach dem früheren US-Präsidenten Harrison benannt wurde, aber 1904 den Namen der Bahnstation Gotebo annahm. Die Idee, von Gotebo aus eine Zweigbahn in die Weiten der Prairie zu bauen, blieb trotz Gründung dieser Bahngesellschaft am 3.5.1907 unverwirklicht, denn die Siedlung blieb bedeutungslos: “Today Gotebo is a small farming hub on the prairie”. | | Specials: | Blaugrün/schwarzer Stahlstich, schöne Vignette mit Personenzug. | | Availability: | Nicht einmal im COX katalogisiert, uns ist auch nur dieses eine Stück bekannt. | | Condition: | Unentwertet, Kupons ab 1911 anhängend.
