Neben der 87 Meilen langen Bahn Claiborne-Ocean City, Md. wurden im Gebiet der Chesapeake Bay 8 Fährschiffslinien von zusammen 1.134 Meilen Länge betrieben. Von der Stadt Baltimore wurde 1908 der Westteil vom Pier No. 1 an der Pratt Street und 1909 ein Werftgelände an der Light Street gepachtet.
