Die Firma war in Philadelphia ansässig, wählte aber (das war damals auch schon gang und gäbe) wegen der viel laxeren Gründungs- und Aufsichtsvorschriften den Staat Colorado als offiziellen Firmensitz. Sie produzierte Taschenuhren, und die Vertriebspolitik setzte auf Niedrigpreise. Sie bot ihre Uhren für 38 $ an, mit der Behauptung, die Uhr sei “fully equal for accuracy, durability, appearance and service to any $ 75 watch”. Für nur 10 $ mehr gab es zu der Uhr sogar eine mindestens 20 Jahre haltbare Goldkette. Zu der Firmengruppe gehörten ferner die Keystone Standard Watch Co., Lancaster, Pa. sowie die Atkinson Brothers, die in Philadelphia in der Chestnut Street einen Uhren- und Schmuckgroßhandel betrieben.
