Blei, Kupfer, Mangan und vor allem Zinn abgebaut. Die vier so genannten Zinnstädte Tavistock, Chagford, Ashburton und Plympton wurden größtenteils mit dem in den Zinngruben erwirtschafteten Geld erbaut. Die Gesellschaft arbeitete nach dem “Cost Book System”: alle Ausgaben und Einnahmen wurden in einem Buch festgehalten, frei einsehbar für die Aktieninhaber.
