War dann Teil der Pennsylvania RR, die 1846 gegründet wurde zum Bau der 355 Meilen langen Hauptbahn Philadelphia - Pittsburg (fertiggestellt 1857, schon damals zweigleisig). Nach und nach übernahm die Gesellschaft so ziemlich alle anderen Eisenbahnen im Staat Pennsylvania und fusionierte schließlich mit der New York Central zur PennCentral, dem mächtigsten System der Ostküste. 1976 brach der Transportkonzern zusammen. | | Specials: | Die Anleihe begab der District of the Northern Liberties unter Haftung aller seiner Bewohner zur Finanzierung seiner Beteiligung an der 1846 gegründeten Pennsylvania Rail Road.
